This time of year, gifts are certainly on our minds, and our shopping lists. This is evidenced by the seemingly limitless lines of people in every store, by the particularly problematic parking at the mall, by the enticing images begging for our attention on television and in print, and by the hundreds of thousands of children who eagerly sit on Santa’s lap to whisper their wishes for what they want to find under the tree. It is the season of giving, and getting. And for most, it is considered the most wonderful time of the year.
For some, however, this time of year can be more of a struggle than a celebration. This year, like every year, natural disasters have taken homes, and continue to threaten lives. Illnesses have stricken many sick and wishing for life-saving answers. Poverty and lack of education leave many wondering where their next meal will come from.
In this season of giving, we, Edigitize, especially want to remember those in need of being given to.
In this season of celebration, we want to celebrate those who are doing just that.
That is why we have chosen the American Red Cross as a worthy organization for our end-of-the-year charitable donation, as they continually give to others who need it the most. Whether it is disaster relief in the wake of life-shattering events, collecting and distributing life-saving blood to those with life-threatening illnesses, teaching skills that save lives and better communities, or supporting our military and their families in such uncertain times – the American Red Cross embodies the one word that this season is all about: GIVE.
Give blood. Give life. Give food. Give shelter. Give support. Give life-skills. Give first-aid. Give hope.
In this season that is all about giving, Edigitize proudly supports the American Red Cross in their continual efforts to give to those who need assistance during the most difficult times of their lives.
And we want to encourage you to do the same.
Whether it’s through the American Red Cross, or one of the many other worthy organizations, we hope that you, along with us, will take time to remember to add those in need to the shopping list this year and give a little hope to those who are hurting.
